Frottage

Something to try:

I found this somewhere on the Internet, but lost the source. Printing on concrete – a hybrid of frottage and stamping. Note – Roll ink across the surface of the paper (as in frottage). Could try this with other high surface items.

  1. Prepare the Paper: Use printmaking paper. Dampen the paper evenly by misting or submerging it in water. Blot off excess water until the paper is evenly damp.

  2. Prepare the Concrete: Use a clean, relatively smooth, and flat concrete surface.

  3. Lay the Paper: Place the damp paper on the concrete surface carefully, avoiding air bubbles or creases.

  4. Tamp the Paper Down: Use a clean, wide brush to gently tamp or pat the paper to ensure even contact with the concrete.

  5. Apply the Ink: Prepare screen printing ink and a brayer. Evenly roll out the ink. Apply the ink across the dampened paper using even pressure. Repeat the rolling process for the desired ink coverage.

  6. Remove the Print: Carefully peel the paper off the concrete, lifting it straight up to avoid smudging.

  7. Drying: Lay the printed paper flat or hang it to dry
